Getting a License

The Security Industry is regulated by the SIA.
All front line security operatives must have the relevant license to work within their chosen field. Those caught without a license can be fined up to £5000 and or incur a prison sentence this also applies to employers who knowingly employ unlicensed Security Operatives.
Getting Licensed
Pass a Door Supervisors Course,
Once you have your certificate
Complete SIA application form and send £245 license fee.
A CBR check will be made – if this is failed no refund is made.
To get the licence you need to attend and pass a Door Supervisors Course run by an SIA approved provider.
A Career in Security
If you have been thinking about becoming a Security Guard, Static Guard or Door Supervisor this is the time to do it.
The Security Industry is still growing and employing more and more security personnel every year.
With the Olympics in 2012 there is a need for more Security therefore more licensed staff.
You can earn up to £10 per hour as a Door Supervisor, Static Guard or Security Guard.
This can be part or full time and applies to both men and women.
All you need is a Door Supervisors Licence which covers all the above jobs.
